Feeling sluggish lately? A little down or heart palpitations?

Chiropractor Vero Beach, Fl.- Maybe is a B12 deficiency.  A lot of people understand B12 is used for energy production, but B12 aids in the control of many things.  Our mood is aided by B12, and our heart rhythm is aided by B12 and our bodies processing cobalamin.  (This is the chemical name for B12.)  Its useable form within our bodies is methylcobalamine.  The most common form is supplement is cyanocobalamin.      When it enters our bodies as cyanocobalamin, our bodies must cut off the cyano portion and plug a methyl onto cobalamin for it to be usable. This process is called methylation and has been in the news a lot lately.    It’s shown through gene testing that only 60% of us have the ability to do this.  This is called an MTHFR gene mutation.  If you have this mutation, then the cyanocobalamin just builds up and roams around our bodies.  It then becomes toxic to our bodies and unusable.  It's important to use the correct form of cobalamin so our bodies process it.  Dr. Thomas Harmody is a chiropractor at Vero Walk-In Chiropractic in Vero Beach, Fl.
